is it raining?

[since it's raining, he'll actually be waiting on the porch. it feels like the least he can do.]

[infield]

[ naw furuya how sweet. haruichi's just got a plain blue umbrella, but his pink hair is pretty unmistakable even in the dreary gray weather, and he brightens when he spots furuya on the porch. there's a basket of sweets under his arm, carefully wrapped up with a blanket and a towel on top to keep it from getting too wet. ]

Furuya-kun! [ haruichi speeds up his steps a little in the wet rain to hurry up the porch, hurriedly stepping under the cover of the ceiling and trying to bobble closing the big umbrella and the basket all at once. ] Sorry, it took me a little while to put everything together...

[staminaroll]

[Between the blue umbrella and the pink hair, Kominato-kun's the brightest spot of color Furuya's seen yet today and he waves a little when he sees him coming up. After watching his friend struggle for a moment he reaches out, attempting to take the basket from Kominato-kun.]

I can help. You're fine.

[infield]

Ah, thanks! [ there we go, that helps. with a little finagling, haruichi holds out his arm to let furuya pull the basket of sweets off of the crook of his elbow and then shuts the umbrella, dutifully shaking it out away from his friend so he doesn't get wet. ]

This rain is miserable... I was hoping maybe it'd stop today, but I guess not...

[staminaroll]

I think it's supposed to be like this all week.

[Furuya opens the door and precedes him into the house, making sure there's enough room for Kominato-kun to follow. He's cranky at the rain too--it means no outside practices, which means in the small facilities here, he's got to rein his pitches in .

Frustrating. But there's cake, so that helps.]

[ haruichi can pretty much read all of that right out of his tone--rain means no normal pitches, means a grumpy furuya. eijun's been crazy too, practically bouncing off the walls, and even haruichi's starting to find it a little, well, gloomy.

he sighs. ] At least we have the sports center to practice in, right? [ with a little smile to try and be the optimist, he sets the umbrella down somewhere where it won't drip off the floor and moves to take his shoes off. ] And it'll be even nicer when the rain does finally stop.

[ ...hopefully ]

[One grumpy bear who is trying his best. He knows if Miyuki-senpai sees him sulking he'll find a way for Furuya to really have something to sulk about so he's doing what he can to endure the weather.]

Yeah, and it's really nice. I just thought we'd be able to wait until winter to be inside full time.

[Kominato-kun does have a point, too. Maybe the rain now will mean a drier fall and longer outdoors practices. That'd be nice, especially in the middle of the day when it's the warmest.]

When I'm inside the rain just makes me sleepier, though. Getting homework done has been a hassle.

[Not that any of the work here is challenging, but even just the fact of it... when he could be sleeping...]
