['Didn't have a catcher'... and 'the scouts didn't see him play'? There's definitely some story lurking there, but he's not sure if he should be pushing that boundary. Whatever it is, its probably a sensitive topic, and he doesn't always have a ton of grace with touchy social situations.

He can, at least, sympathize.] It is hard. [Even after joining a team, most of his practice wound up being with a net, or the target.] Miyuki-san is... really good, though. [Probably one of the better choices to get after having nothing at all, he thinks.]

[It wouldn't be much to tell but Satoru appreciates Mihashi-kun's discretion as well as his empathy. He nods a little at first, then again when Mihashi-kun mentions Miyuki-senpai.]

He's the best in Tokyo for sure. [Furuya's pretty sure Miyuki might be the best in Japan but he's not going to insult whoever Mihashi-kun's catcher is that way. He's not that proud to play with Miyuki-senpai.]

I've gotten a lot better since I started playing with him. A good catcher is really important. Your catcher must be good, too.

The conversation turns back to him a little, and this time he actually feels a bit more at ease with it. Talking about his current catcher is much easier than trying to talk about most of the things in his past.] He is - he's really great. It's been... a lot of fun, playing with him.
